Terrorism
in Islamic Perspective
Lu’liyatul
Mutmainah
Terrorism
is the unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an
organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating
or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political
reasons. In my opinion terrorism is immoral thing and there is no command in
Islam to become terrorist but infact the most of terrorist are moslems and they
do the terrorism in the moslem countries that contents of many moslems people.
The
Extreme religious interpretations of the Qur’an and the movement of Islamic
Revivalism influence the emergence and progression of violent jihad in
contemporary times. The Qur’an systematizes use and relate them to other
aspects of Shariat through its discourse
on revivalism. Based on the Qur’anic principle of Ijtihad.
Some
people or most of people have negative
view about Islamic Jihad. They don’t know about what the real Ijtihad is. Actually the terrorists have a good side too in their
heart even they do the murder, robbery, violent and so on.
Beside
that there are so many people hope about erasing terrorist because they are not
needed by the human in the world, just like what The President of the General
Assembly in United Nations Commemorates the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 said: “We
want to be here to express our compassion and solidarity for all the victims of
terrorist acts who are attacked randomly and without respite throughout the
world. We are here to express our indignation at the cowardice of terrorism,
condemn it firmly and categorically, combat it and see that the guilty are
punished.” And The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations also
said: “The attacks targeted more than one single country;
they were an assault on humanity itself, and on the universal values of peace
and dignity that the United Nations was created to promote and defend.”
In
The Holy Qur’an: "And
abuse not those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they, out of spite,
abuse Allah in their ignorance. Thus unto every people have We caused their
doings to seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return; And He will inform
them of what they used to do." ( Qur’an
6:108). The Quran states that Moslems may "Fight in the cause of God against those who fight against you,
but do not transgress limits. Lo! God loves not aggressors…" (Qur’an 2:190).
Dr.
Maher Hathout examines (In Pursuit of Justice, 2006) core democratic and human
rights principles from an Islamic perspective. Subjects include justice,
constitutionalism, democracy, sanctity of life, freedom of speech, freedom of
religion, the status of women, non-Muslims, property rights, citizenship, freedom
of association, freedom of movement, children, security of person, slavery, and
social services.
Actually
The reason of the terrorist do the violent is they want to be exist in their keeping
as good moslem, but they do violent too. It’s not good solution., Islam has the
best way to solve the problem without violent. Islam command to the human to
respect each others.
